Heaps of Trash

o-TRASH-PILE-facebookThe average person has about 60,000 thoughts a day, 80% of which are negative and close to 90% represent something other than God’s promise to them. That is a lot of dirt and distraction we heap on ourselves.

How do you listen for God in the midst of all this stuff rattling around in your head? Actually you already know how. You ignore all sorts of sounds as you concentrate on a task or a conversation. You get busy and don’t notice bumping your leg. You know how to filter.

With practice you can learn to filter out junk and tune into what God tells us is so about life. Check out any of the exercises. They are trash filters and God finders.

I help people listen for God in their lives. As a pastor and a friend I think relationships are both fascinating and rich in their own right.
