DSC_0291I was using the Upper Room today and Randy Kilgore wrote that place is “more than a house, place is where meaning, belonging and safety come together under the cover of unconditional love.” March 19, 2015. Wow, that really makes sense to me.

My wife and I are visiting Albuquerque, NM where we are providing place for our grandchildren. Our daughter is completing her PhD comprehensives. With her husband Jeff, they are preparing to sell their house and move their place to Summit New Jersey. She begins her first full-time position as an Associate of Youth and Family ministry at Central Presbyterian Church in June. Her husband will begin a new job. She is also arranging for her own ordination in a month. Like that is crazy way too much.

Bessie and I were invited to spread our wings a bit and provide “place” for your grandchildren. What a privilege to stand beside Jeff and Deborah and do this. What a privilege to stand beside Jesus Christ and do this. Jesus, of course, does this for us: John 14:2

When have you been asked to provide place to others?
