People say “Bless you.” They say, “You are such a blessing.”
But I am asked, “How can I feel ‘Blessed assurance.'” I am asked that question in may ways. “I feel alone.” “I wish I knew what I was here for.” “Life is stale.” “I am tired.” “All I see are the problems. Where are the solutions.”
A host of issues flow from the same source, not knowing the touch of our Creator. Of course life seems odd because we are no connected to its source. The Bible puts it this way,
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Gen 1:7 KJV
To know moments in which we experience being God Breathed beings is astonishing. Suddenly the image of God kneeling by the river, hands dirty from the work of creating us, bending over and breathing life into us makes sense, not in our heads but in our entire lives. Here is an exercise to help you experience this kneeling, forming, holding, life breathing presence.
Lord, when did I see you yesterday?
Be still and listen.
